INGREDIENTS:
Cortex eucommiae (Eucommia Bark)
Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae (Red Sage Root)
Chuan Xiong (Szechuan Lovage Root)
In Eastern Herbology, Eucommia bark used to increase functions in the body:
- strengthens the bones and muscles
- heals injured lower back and legs
- relieves stiffness and arthritis
- lowers blood pressure
- has sedative and analgesic effect
In Traditional Chinese Medicine red sage used for over 2000 years to help treat a wide range of medical concerns: vascular diseases and circulation problems, angina pectoris and tight chest, menstrual problems, chronic hepatitis, abdominal masses. Red sage used for bruising and wound healing, it has anticoagulant and anti-platelet aggregation effects.
Lovage root belongs to the category of Herbs that Invigorate Blood. It can break blood stasis and used for traumas.
Other medicinal properties of Lovage root includes:
- treating headaches, vertigo, hypertension.
- Diuretic properties: it can stimulate urination without the loss of vital electrolytes.
- Lovage contains eucalyptol, which reduce irritation in the lungs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Pregnancy, Bleedings, Autoimmune disorders.
WARNINGS:
People who take medications to treat Diabetes, high blood pressure, anticoagulant, antiplatelet, or thrombolytic medications should not use this formula unless under doctor supervision. Stop taking if any adverse reactions occur.
DIRECTIONS:
Place herbs in a large clean jar. Soak in 975 ml of Sake for 5 days. Gently shake the contents every day. Keep the infusion out of direct light and away from exposure to heat. When ready to strain, sterilize the jar or bottle that will hold the finished herbal wine. Line a strainer with a few layers of cheesecloth to strain into the prepared bottle.
Cap tightly and store at room temperature.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Take moderate amounts at no fixed schedule. You can drink it as wine or add to tea. Use within 1 month; the longer you keep it, the stronger it gets
Remember: this is medicinal wine. Do not take more than recommended dosage.
