In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hawthorn is used for diseases of the heart and blood. It is also may be used to treat both high and low blood pressure, atherosclerosis and high cholesterol.
INGREDIENTS:
Fructus Crataegi (Hawthorn berries)
Cortex Cinnamomi (Cinnamon bark)
Fructus Jujubae (Red Date)
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Pregnancy, Fever, Gastritis, or Peptic ulcers.
WARNINGS:
If you have Diabetes, do not add brown sugar. When the wine is ready, add sugar free sweetener to taste. Stop taking if any adverse reactions occur.
DIRECTIONS:
You will need 15g of brown sugar.
Place herbs in large clean jar. Add brown sugar. Soak in 1 liter of sake for 10 days. Gently shake the contents every day. Keep the infusion out of direct light and away from exposure to heat. Line a strainer with a few layers of cheesecloth to strain into the prepared bottle. Cap tightly and store at room temperature.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Take a small shot glass 2 times a day. Remember: this is medicinal wine. Do not take more than the recommended dosage.
